Woodlawn Cemetery

1500 Las Vegas Boulevard North
5 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Woodlawn Cemetery was established in 1914 and is the oldest cemetery in the Las Vegas valley. What started as a 10-acre gift from the railroad, Woodlawn has expanded to a 40-acre cemetery that serves as the final resting place for more than 20,000 citizens, including numerous prominent pioneers and historical figures that represent the city’s rich history. Woodlawn also served as the unofficial veterans’ cemetery until 1989 and located in the center of the cemetery is Veteran’s Memorial Circle, a monument dedicated to all those who served our country. On Nov. 21, 2006, Woodlawn Cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a stop on the local Pioneer Trail.
