What is a Neighborhood Association?

A neighborhood association is a volunteer-based organization formed to actively represent a local community. It provides a united voice for common interests/concerns, creates local partnerships and strengthens community engagement. Neighborhood associations are an invaluable resource to the city of Las Vegas and our local communities.

Benefits

  • Neighborhood associations will receive notices about proposed new developments within their community.
  • Neighborhood associations may reserve community center or senior center space for association meetings or events.
  • Neighborhood associations are eligible to apply for grant funding through the Neighborhood Partners Fund.
  • Neighborhood associations are eligible to access the Tool Lending Library, which includes a variety of tools to be used for neighborhood projects.
  • Registration is free.

Requirements

  • The prospective association must be within Las Vegas city limits.
  • Neighborhood association gatherings need to be open to all residents within the association.
  • A board will need to be created including, at minimum, a president, vice-president and secretary.
  • Board members need to live or work within the association boundaries.
  • The neighborhood association may include homeowners and/or home renters.
  • Business districts in a neighborhood may also form an association to address neighborhood issues.
