Judge Rebecca Wolfson

Judge Rebecca Wolfson was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She received her bachelor’s degree in Politics with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of San Francisco.

Wolfson obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. After law school, she began her career working as the law clerk for the Honorable Valerie Adair in the Eighth Judicial District Court. Thereafter, she was hired as a deputy city attorney in the Criminal Division of the Las Vegas Office of the City Attorney.

Wolfson spent the first four years in the City Attorney’s office as a prosecutor handling thousands of criminal misdemeanor cases. Then she transferred to the Civil Division of the Las Vegas Office of the City Attorney. During her three years in the Civil Division, she was responsible for civil litigation, planning and land use, code enforcement and legislation.

 

Judge Wolfson was elected as Las Vegas Municipal Court Judge for Department 5 June 11, 2024, and sworn into office July 17, 2024. She presides over a full criminal calendar as well as the Youth Offender Specialty Court.
